I hope all of you had a joyful and relaxed holidays. I enjoyed writing a report on my action log project during the holidays because I wanted to exchange my experience of using action log technique with you. I learned an essential fact from reading action logs. It may sound strange but I really felt that students were humans just like you and me: they enjoyed conversation, rebeled against me, tried using strategies... as Zoltan Dornyei says in his _Motivational Strategies in the Language Classroom_, "they grow up in the classroom". Did any of you try action log? If you haven't, try at least once. You don't need to take time in your class. You just have to tell them to write action log after class spending less than five minutes. I'll send you a sample in MS Word format if you need.
By the way, you can learn a lot about action log in: http://exchanges.state.gov/forum/vols/vol31/no1/p6.htm
